Hi everyone, today is the last day where I live to Update free to Windows 10. So, my question is does anyone regret updating, what do I need to watch out for when updating for Privacy reasons.

Any tips or experience would be helpful, Thank!

Windows 10 seems to function better on machines optimized (manufactured) for it. For this reason, I've bought two machines that were already pre-installed with it for a higher price than I could have bought with 8.1 and free upgrade. This was based on an 8.1 laptop upgraded to 10 and running a bit slower.

I have done a few machines... for the upgrade you'll probably have to do the upgrade. But after you have you shold be able to go back and do a clean install - unless they have added that feature, its been almost a year. Any way it works great, unless you have some really old programs that aren't compatible.

So the laptop was slower after updating? That doesn't sound good.

I think Windows 10 is a great OS and have recommended the upgrade to everyone I know. Any privacy concerns are easily fixed in the settings.

Not very much, but yes. For me, I like Windows 10, but on a machine that was built for it.
