    I'm not too sure if this applies to any other OS but WIND/Freedom today shuttered their My Account app. I'm guessing it's due to the name change but all they had to do was change the icon as the app itself was nothing more than an HTML wrap of their account site.

    Go to their mobile web site and make a browser shortcut on your desktop. Many mobile sites work just as well as the apps.

    What I mean by that is that the app is the tip of the iceberg to me. After 7 years of patiently waiting for WIND/Freedom to get their act together I'm told that to enjoy service that's still worse than that of the Big3's flanker brands I'll have to spend $1,000 for a new device I don't want, suffer with an awful network footprint, and give up my plan (10GB, unlimited US roaming, etc). The app was the straw that broke....(etc), and disabling it was a lazy, ignorant move suggesting WIND/Freedom really don't give a stuff about their subscribers' convenience.

    The app was super easy to pay and to look at stuff like usage patterns etc. My main concern is having reception when I'm in most houses or buildings. I find it really annoying when my phone doesn't ring and I receive a text that someone tried calling me.

    I don't think AWS3 is going to help with WIND's problem with building penetration as the frequencies are even further up the dial to AWS1, you'll just find out you can't connect faster

    I used to have the non-ringing problem when I first joined WIND but it seems to have gone for me now. Hasn't been an issue for about 3 years now. There is hope!

    The key will be if they can win the 600 mhz spectrum auction in 2017. My thoughts is that they should buy Videotrons unused 700 mhz spectrum for Southern Ontario. If they lose the 2017 auction, Videotron will want a bigger premium.

    Agreed that the 6-700Mhz is essential to Freedom's future, they need that lower down bandwidth otherwise all they'll end up with is a network that is blocked by buildings quicker!

    I know talks between Videotron and WIND have taken place in the past but I have no idea the out come but it would be a more expedited process compared to going through another auction. Maybe they'll be another set aside this time around?
