A lot of customers are not aware that they may be eligible for an employee discount based on where they work. To find out if you are eligible visit:

    https://b2b.verizonwireless.com/tbmb...ressFaxBack.do

Don't miss out. I did, for nearly two years.

Also ask them to check and see if you are eligible for the data discount as well. We have a Verizion rep that comes into our work once a month who told me I was, but when I called I was told I wasn't. After I insisted, they kept looking and then it showed up. They said some companies do, some don't. But if you don't ask, they don't go the extra mile to look for you.

When I was in buying my BB, the sales person noticed my work ID badge and said I may be eligible for a discount. I was eligible and I had no idea. Nice surprise! Glad I forgot to put my badge away that day.

I just started going through the sign up and I noticed this in the agreement

"I understand that I cannot terminate my service without an Early Termination Fee because of a rate adjustment to which YOUR CORPORATION agreed; even if the Cellular Service Agreement allows."

Not sure I like this. Do you guys think that is saying that I wouldn't be able to cancel my contract with them at the end of two years from when I signed up. I've had my current agreement for about 1.5 years and I'm not saying that I am going to cancel it at the end of the 2 years but what if I wanted to.

I might just be paranoid here but...

No worries.... it wouldn't be an "Early Termination" at 2 years so no fee would apply.

Exactly. And Verizon's early termination fees decrease for every month you are into your contract. So at 1.5 years, it might not cost that much to cancel. I really enjoy their service, though.

My work email came back showing that I eligible for a discount. I want to apply it to my personal phone, can that be done?

What kind of discount are we talking?

Corporate discounts are generally between 15% and 20% and apply to the voice plan only -- it won't be applied to your BB data plan. Your business account rep should be able to get it applied to your plan by sending (faxing) you a form that you sign and return.

Depends on the agreement I guess. I get 20% off my BIS plan also.

Any feature OR calling plan $29.99 or higher will be eligible for the discount. So yes this includes your data. And discounts range from 6% to 25% not 15-20. It's all based on a line tier....basically how many lines are activated through your company. Then employee liable accounts are given the same discount.

Oh yeah.....no need for the faxing either. See my previous post. If your corporate email address shows you get a discount it will walk you through online.

25% across the board! Doesn't quite make up for being a tiny, nameless cog in a huge corporate machine, but it doesn't make it worse!

I checked out the page and I used my college email to see if I am eligible. Turn out I am eligible even though I am a student. Lol. Verizon should be careful.

Best discount out there....Military. I am also a federal employee, and even that discount through AT&T isn't as much as the one I receive for being military. Can be a pain though...
