When my area gets 4G, will my 3G 9930 gain closer to the 14.4mbps data transfer speed that 3G is capable of supporting? I know I will not get 4G speeds. But will I see a bump in data rate, or are 3G and 4G completely seperate systems? Thanks.

The addition of 4G networks will free up more space on the 3G networks, from users who desire a 4G LTE device. The addition of the towers alone will not generate faster networking speed for you. The CDMA version of the Bold doesn't offer any radios besides 3G.

However, I do think you will see a difference with more people using LTE than 3G. Less slow downs.
