I've been looking at VZW's web site, and I'm a bit confused. My intention is to get some type of family plan with 2 BlackBerry's.
Do I get the Basic Plan (For example $69.99 / 2 Lines 700 minutes) , and add a BIS data plan @ 29.99 each.
Or do I get the Connect plan (For example 119.99 / 2 lines 700 minutes) that includes unlimited web browsing, text/picture messaging, and mobile email?
I don't know what my plan is called but I pretty much have unlimited everything. My bill is the same every month and I never have to worry about overage charges.
If I were you I would go with the Connect so that you can use your phone as it is intended.
You will need the basic plan unless you want unlimited messaging on both devices, then get the select plan. Email and web is 29.99 for the berry going on BIS and 44.99 on the berry going on the BES plan.

How come some people I work with, have switched thier phone from a "regular" phone to a BlackBerry, only added the 29.99 BlackBerry plan to it, and got activated via BES at my company?
Will they eventually get caught and have to pay a penality?

But since the guys at work are paying 29.99 then maybe you can get away with doing the same. However, if it is a bes you will know as soon as they attempt to set up the email on the phone.
I think I'm on BES. I have to do the activation thing with my work email address and BES assigned password.
Everything in my work Outlook is automatically synced with my BlackBerry automatically.
Sounds like to me we have a true BES.
I currently have the $99.99 BlackBerry plan with 900 minutes, so I didn't just add the 29.99 plan, but I know others have. I will have to confirm with them.
