What are your must haves. I'm thinking bolt and iheart radio right now. lol I saw something called telenav. is that free nav or do I have to pay for it somehow.

So for some reason the options are different for me i guess being added to my wifes plan. The options are we can get the 700 shared anytime minutes for 69.99 then we pay 10 dollars for shared 500 texts and I guess free mobile to mobile texts(is that any mobile or just vzw mobiles. also do incoming texts and incoming calls count against you or just ones I create) then 10 bucks for insurance. then the Data plans are 24.99 each(with discount i guess). I don't understand the text messaging. Also i'm told that all vzw mobile to mobile are free anytime right? plus then nights and weekends are free to all phones right? My wife is handling this online and I don't think she understands fully. Thats why i'm wondering if someone could explain this to me.

The $10 txt pkg is not shared messaging. It's 500 outside of VZW per line for the $10 pkg. If you want unlimited text go with the $89.99 700 min talk and txt plan. You will receive your discount off the primary line of $80. Note if you don't go with the T&T $89.99 plan you won't receive any discount off of your txt pkg due to it not being a high enough valued feature.

Nights and weekends are included in that plan. As well as mobile to mobile.

Also on the Friends & Family you CAN NOT add:

Premium numbers such as 411 or 900 numbers
    International numbers
    Call Forwarded numbers
Special dialed numbers such as voicemail

sweet so it10 bucks total for 500 texts per phone? I thought that was shared. I don't need unlimited in that way. Everyone I text except like 2 people are on verizon and the 2 that are not on verizon have blackberrys so i can just bbm with them if i'm running low. lol Sweet that makes it even better. So being that my wife and i only really call like 5 people who don't have cell phones or verizon network the 10 person plan will be awesome. Our parents and siblings....along with a acouple 2 or 3 friends. sweet.

If you are adding $10 txt pkg to both lines it will come out cheaper to go with the unlimited txt plan.

how would that be. Do I have to add 10 package to both phones. $20 dollars or isn't it $10 for 500 each. i'm confused. it's an extra 30 dollars for unlimited text plan right for both phones. I wish there was an easy chart i could just look at for options and plans. lol

    You have two options:
    1. Add individual packages to each phone. $10 on each line would give you Unlimited IN (vzw to vzw) and 500 texts for other use. That'd be $20 for both lines.

    2. Switch to a talk/text plan which would give both lines unlimited texting for $30 on top of the talk plan.

Well technically it won't be cheaper but you will get more for your money due to your discount. From your discounting of the BB pkg I am assuming you get 20% off.

    $90 x 20% = $18

    So your bill would be $72.00 + $9.99 + $23.99 (BB) + $23.99 (2nd BB) = $129.97

    $60 x 20% = $12

    Bill $48 + $9.99 + 23.99 + $23.99 + $10 (txt) + $10 (txt) = $125.97

So for $4 you get the security of never having to worry about going over txt.

i do get 20% so is that the way the discount would work......

    so wouldn't it be

    119.99 - 20% 1400voice/unlimited text ($95.99)
    (2)29.99 - 20% ($47.98)
    10.00(insurance)
+tax/surcharges I don't even know what these would be. I know tax is 8.75% here but surcharges........I have no clue what that would be.

this is how my 20% discount works:

    Nationwide 900 + Email & MSG: 119.99
    20% Access Discount: -24.00
    WPP Insurance - Asurion: 4.99

So it will discount from your Minutes and Data/Text plan grouped together.

    $110 x 20% = $22

    So your bill would be $88.00 + $9.99 + $23.99 (BB) + $23.99 (2nd BB) = $145.97 + INS + tax

    $80 x 20% = $16

    Bill $64 + $9.99 + 23.99 + $23.99 + $10 (txt) + $10 (txt) = $141.97 + INS + tax

So for $4 you get the security of never having to worry about going over txt.
Still the same $4 difference... keep in mind you only get 20% off of the plan on the Primary line

what is the 9.99 your putting it. I know the plan I want is 119.99. So wouldn't that plan just be 20 percent off. then 20 percent off of the 2 data plans plus ins and tax and surcharges. what is the primary line? any idea how much the surcharges would be in cali

Who is your provider...and are you using a BB?

The data does make a bill go up, but is it worth it? YES!

The $9.99 is the secondary line in your family shareplan!

And yeah after you add insurance and taxes that is about the price you are looking at.

Here is how my discount would work: I get 22% off the primary line

The $119.00 plan is actually -- $110.00 for the primary line and 9.99 for the second line. Discount at 22% would be off the $110. That is $24.20. SO: $110.00 - 24.20 = $85.80 + 9.99 (second line) + 29.99 + 29.99 (for the two data plans - I don't get a discount off those plans). So far: $155.77 If you are going to get insurance on a smartphone, I believe that runs $7.99 per phone. Add that in and you have $171.75. Taxes will average around $20 or so. That equals a grand total of $191.75. You need to check what your discount is on exactly to have a better idea of the cost involved. This plan gives you 1400 shared minutes and unlimited texting/MMS and data usage. There should be no other charges unless you go over your minutes or download an app or text one of those "help Haiti" type texts you see on television. Hope that helps!

Yes thanks. I believe it equals too much. lol my brother is on sprint and he pays 105 for unlimited everything exept he has 1500 minutes shared with his wife for landlines. They both have blackberrys. I don't have sprint coverage where i live. only at&t and verizon and my wife is already on verizon with her 8330 so i figure my best bet is to just add on to hers but we have to rework the plan.

I decided to not even do this. The plan is just too expensive. If I could get sprint i would be all over it. 105 bucks a month for all unlimited basically. Thats with a discount and I have the same discount. It's just where i live the coverage is only a roaming zone. I already have a work phone through verizon but I hate it. I don't pay the bill so it's nice but i hate the phone and hate the limitations with it and being a work phone. I'm a techy guy so I want to play too. lol I wanted to get a nice phone like everyone around me has but i can't get myself to spend an extra 120 dollars a month for the extra features of a smart phone on verizon. I can easily afford it but that little voice is argueing with me over it. lol thanks for the help though. Some day I will get a new phone.

There are other live TV options out there and more to come, but so far nothing that compares to SprintTV I'm afraid.
Actually, our "TV" phones use MediaFlo, and right now the only MediaFlo PDA we have is the HTC imagio.

Sure would be nice if there were more of them. MediaFlo is actually pretty cool.
