On my enV Backup Assistant backed up name, phone number.

On the BlackBerry does Backup Assistant backup and restore ALL the contact information? Name, numbers, emails, addresses, birthday, notes, etc?

i have Backup Assistant installed back doing nightly backups but have not had to use it to restore yet.

It backs up ALL the contact information except the contact picture. (Note that you could log in to the Backup Assistant website from a computer and see this information.) kidding!

Haven't done a restore, but I can't imagine why it wouldn't restore all the information in the contact.

To restore you download Backup Assistant then enter your PIN. It will start the restore (sync) automatically.

Oh no! That's what i was wondering. That's a shame. i have addresses, emails, IM names on almost all of my contacts. That's really no good. Thanks for the info though! i guess a backup using DM is the best option still.

Well, ALL the data exists on the Backup Assistant website. And the website has an option to export the data to a CSV which can then be imported to Outlook or restored to the device with BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

ALL the data is in the CSV.

The CSV has columns of data out to column CL so that's what ... 90+ fields of data??

I'm not sure what it restores but I just recently used BUA to import to Google in anticipation of my new Incredible, and it transfered all the names, emails, work numbers, birthdays and addresses I had for my contacts. Therefore, I would assume it would do that on a BB. I haven't walked any one thru it as of yet but we shall see. Outlook is always the best bet if you need EVERYTHING saved.
