You would need to tell us what carrier you are using. Blackberry's require a blackberry specific data plan. Not just any data plan will do.

Then yes, I would think it should be $29.99. Should give VZW customer service a call and ask them why it's more than that.

Here's there CS number if you don't already have it. (800) 922-0204 or dial 611 from your VZW cell.

Sounds like you signed up for Verizon BES (includes access to work exchange servers) and not BIS (regular blackberry internet/email service). Call Verizon and have them change it.

Is there anyway to change it without calling?

It's a feature. Maybe you can change it online.

If you connect to a BES (or BESX) however, you will find that your handheld does not work properly.

Its better to call them, I called them and I was paying the same and they asked me was i using the BES or did i have a enterprise account and i told them No. I only use bis and my personal emails, they changed the feature for me and the next month i paid the normal 29.99

Had the same problem when my wife and I reactivated our old tour 9630 (we dumped them to save some $$ on bill but that was a dumb move! Really missed our bb's) We tried to activate a phone on our verizon online manager and it kept coming up blackberry corp (BES) had to call verizon help desk and he set it up fine. You can do it over the air (#228 or *228 can't remember) but I can't remember the steps. They can help you do it and the correct charge for service will show up (bis instead of bes)

If you are signed up for tethering, then the "corporate" blackberry feature is default, with the tethering being $15.00 per month (totalling $60/mo. for BIS/BES w/Tethering).
