Used the 4.1 nav yesterday on my 8330 and it worked great. 3d was cool, and it warned me about traffic once, I took another street, it re-calculated and I was on my way.

The performance of the UI has been improved significantly. Scrolling through multiple selections is much more responsive. I haven't had a chance to try it out while driving yet, but I'm hoping the route recalculation performance is improved. 2.9.9 would sometimes recalculate just in time for me to completely miss the turn I needed to make, especially in urban areas with denser street layouts.

$9.99 a month. What? Are they crazy. Verizon is trying to take every penny you have.

I spend more than that on coffee in a 48 hour period.

Ever notice that when a barrel of oil goes up the price goes up really fast? Now the barrel is down but the price per gallon does not drop as fast. Now, who is taking your money? Also now that prices for gas are down a bit, have all the rates for trucking and air flights and other surcharges added to just about everything we buy come off or been reduced? NO! nor will they in my opion.

At least with VZNAV you have the choice to use it or not. Gas on the other hand, wow need I say more?

That link works fine on this blackberry. Takes me directly to the VZ NAV download.

i'm pretty sure you can't save or run the VZ NAV from a memory card.

Clear your cache on the blackberry browser, do a battery pull after that.

Do you have the old version of VZ NAV installed? If so completely uninstall that before downloading the new.

If you have unlimited data, which is what you should have, you don't need to worry about it.

yea, the bis is only $29.99, its unlimited, the only thing cheaper is $24.99 and it allows a limited amount of data, which is lame. for VZW i know a lot of users have that because they are required to have something, and they trave to canada, which doesnt count towards the data usage, just charged like $2.00/Mb basically.

I followed your instructions and it loaded with out a hitch. It is working fine. Now, i just have to decide what type of voice i want to use for the instructions. Would be nice if they had Captain Picard! "Turn left in .5 miles, Make it so!"

Hasn't anybody noticed one feature missing? "Where am i" is gone! That
s a travesty! An injustice! Well, inconvenient, anyway...

Also, since i came here to find out why my new version didn't work, don't you think that verizon would have in the download instructions to reset your permissions from "custom" to "allow"? would have saved me a day trying to figure out i needed the help of the crackberry team! Thanks All!

These instructions can be found at www.vzw.com/data This is a great sire for step by step on things VZW supports on the device.
