    hi guys,

I am planning to upgrade to that above mentioned model. I heard a customer saying that model doesn't supports 4G.

As i am living in a country where 3G still yet to grow. I am not worried about 4G as of now. Please tell me what measures I should take in this case.

I am worried, if 3G works or not on this unlocked phone in India and Philippines. when I checked on GSM arena, they stated india has UMTS-2100. But here seller mentioned as WCDMA for 2100 confused totally.

I have contacted seller regarding this and they replied as below::

"This device is international capable and should work with any of the following frequencies. As long as the frequencies are a match in whatever country you are in you will pick up services. Thanks.

    LTE 750
    WCDMA 900 / 2100
    CDMA 850 / 1900
    GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900"

Can I assume that 3G works??

You need to check which frequencies are supported by the carrier you intend to use, and pick the phone version with best support. In general you probably don't want STL 100-3 which has primary support for US frequencies rather than rest-of-world, and you certainly DON'T want STL 100-4 which is optimised for Verizon's USA network - and probably recycled and reconditioned from phones rejected by Verizon's US customers. Best choice for you is likely to be STL 100-2 if you expect to get 3G with some hope for 4G (or STL 100-1 would be acceptable if you are sure you will never get 4G but software updates may be slower to release and more difficult to locate).

but when I had gone thru, stl100-1 doesn't have S4 processor and rest are looking good in hardware.
When it comes to software, can't we use the other network updates like the ones we used on older legacy devices??

I am happy if I get 3G working over this one, because 4G didn't boosted up in India. Verizon representative said that this phone has UMTS-2100 in phone specifications and which is the 3G frequency used in India I guess.

What I found interesting in this was that verizon support is saying that this phone 100-4 supports 2100 frequency on 3G. In india the frequency for all carriers with 3G is UMTS-2100. So they assured me that this will work and now question arises about software. Can't we just download OS of other networks and install on our BB, like we did on older ones?

fiNally hspa+ is being delivered to my Z10.hey guys now one can say that unlocked LTE mobiles surely give 3G if the specific country has the bandwidth supported by the handset. My country has 3G with a bandwidth of 2100MHz...
