    Need help!
I went on verizon website and could not find the email and web plan for blackberry (34.99 plan). Do I have to go to the store and speak to someone?

You probably can't find it because it doesn't exist. The unlimited BIS is $29.99

Yes the plan is $29.99 for the "email and web", but I was told by two different reps that the plan is NOT unlimited...the only way to get unlimited is if I get the Nationwide 450 - Email plan for $79.99.

    Hope this helps

Verizon has a 29.99 plan that is for e-mail and web, but it is not unlimited.

They also have a 44.99 plan for unlimited use on blackberries.

I have the $29.99 plan and it is unlimited data. I called and asked like 3 reps and they all told me it was unlimited.Verizon's unlimited plans have a 5gb cap, all of them do. The difference in the 44.99 and 29..99 plan is exchange server support.

I'm not sure about that, why would they put a cap on their unlimited plans, that doesn't make any sense?

The 29.99 plan is caped at 10mb and the 44.99 unlimited plan is caped at 5gig per billing cycle. I have the 44.99 plan and I'm glad I do I was over the 10 mb in about 3 days of BB use!

im looking at it now. $34.99 unlimited data bb personal email plan. does not include texting or sync. but its there in blackberry solutions. its on p.15 of thir data book in store as well. youll have to point it out to them though the 29.99 is an add on in my area but the 34.99 is stand alone w/.25 min calling. this is unlimited data

Oh my God. No, it isn't. Once and for all, can we clear this up?:

    The $24.99 plan has a 10MB limit.

The $29.99 plan is for UNLIMITED data usage (unlimited = 5GB of data). This is the BIS plan.

The $44.99 plan is for BES users and has the same 5GB cap (virtually unlimited).

For all normal purposes 5GB on a BlackBerry should be approximately the same as unlimited, unless you're playing YouTube videos back-to-back-to-back 24/7.

the 29.99 plan is an add on not stand alone plan for my zip code.
the 34.99 plan in my zip code is stand alone. but neither include sync.
just checked the web site. 29.99 is not stand alone anywhere.

Do you not have an existing plan? What do you want, a BlackBerry with data but no voice plan? I know for a fact the rates that I posted are right if what you're doing is upgrading to a BlackBerry from your current phone (they are in addition to your voice plan charges).

gl who asked the question asked about web and email plan and his profile lists tmobile as carrier. so i was just answering the question as it was asked. i dont assume he or she has a vzw plan from the info given. nor do i assume he or she wants voice. by the question asked.

Considering he mentioned the Verizon website, I'm assuming he was referring to Verizon instead of T-Mobile. I guess I'm stupid then.

I was told by the corporate retail store that to use a Blackberry with BIS and all of it's features it HAS to be coupled with a Blackberry-specific voice plan. I was also told that all data access - SMS, MMS, email and web was "unlimited," but the fine print on the web site puts a 5GB cap on total data transferred per month. It's called "BlackBerry Nationwide Email & Messaging" and it's $20 more per month than the ""BlackBerry Nationwide Email" plan. This is consistent with their web site offerings for my zip code.

IOW, there is no $29.99 unlimited data plan that could be added to my existing voice plan available to me, at least not one for a Blackberry.

I pay $99/mo. plus taxes for this. Your region may vary, or maybe not, I don't know. Just passing along what I was told and what I subscribed too.

Well it often seems the Verizon reps have no clue themselves as to what the different BlackBerry plans are. The invoice for my new Curve reads "EMAIL & WEB FOR BLACKBERRY - $29.99"

Typical VZW mish mash and confusion.

In my region, Los Angeles, there is no "EMAIL & WEB FOR BLACKBERRY - $29.99" offered as an add-on to voice service, on the web, or in their corporate retail stores.

I sounds compelling, but does that include SMS and MMS? Blackberrys are so ubiquitous here that I use those more often than email, mostly because it's faster between carriers and bypasses POP3, IMAP, and SMTP.

PIN to PIN Blackberry messaging has also proven to be quite useful and it supposedly bypasses all data charges of any kind (correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm in Irvine, CA (OC) and it was offered via the web for me.

No sms/mms included in either $29.99 or $44.99 plan.

PIN to PIN bypasses all SMS/MMS charges, but doesn't bypass data as you had asked

Interesting - I just checked Irvine on their site and got exactly the same plan choices I have here. How am I missing this?

The verizon rep I talked to hadn't heard of the 29.99 plan ( I heard about it through this site) and it took him 10 minutes to find the billing code. I'm on a family plan (im actually the added line in the plan) and I was paying $44.99 a month for web and email. I called and switched it to the 29.99 unlimited bis.
