WDWMaps is basically a set of GPS enabled maps that are not officially sponsored by Disney. It costs $3.99 and is 5.6MB, which is a lot of space if you are low on App space.......

That's true. That is going to use data and many of those phones are likely held by folks without an unlimited data plan.

    Oh boy, LOL.

here is the link: appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/2712 but the funny thing is that the rep told me it would work on my curve ( 8330 ) and it is not an app for my phone.

This whole thing makes no sense.
Ceedrus, thankS for the information. Have you tried this? Does any knoW if they are worth it?

It is now listed on Verizon's website under Apps>Travel & Navigation
Here is the alert I got :-(
The Media Store does not currently contain a version of this app that is compatible with your phone.

    I have a BB Curve!

Why would you promote a program on your old phones. Don't you want to sell more new phones!!!!

Doesn't make sense to me not to have this available for smartphones.

I was with my in-laws this weekend (we're going with them and my brother-in-law's family over Xmas). I was using the mobile website (which does not format correctly on my landscape oriented Tour (yes, I have tried both page view and column view). It left me really wanting the full app to be available by the time our trip comes around......

So perhaps we might have a clearer picture soon!!!

Still no BB love. But my daughter has an Env3. I am toying with giving her web access for a day to download the app. I assume once the app is downloaded we can cut the web access, right?

Probably more trouble than it is worth now for us......

It uses consist data access. The app uses GPS feature so I would
think you need a data plan so you wouldn't be paying for usage without a data plan.

I have a BB Tour, and when I texted "Magic" to 277 as directed to get the app, I recieved this. "Your phone model is not supported for this service. This service is only available for Get It Now or Media Center enabled phones.". what the **** is this?!?!

I would not hold your breath on that.

What a scam this app is. It's available for dumbphones, but not smartphones? WAFJ. That makes perfect sense for money-hungry Verizon though.

Going to DisneyWorld this Saturday. I guess I'll try that WDW Maps app. What a letdown.
