Just recently got my first bb and I was wondering if verizon keeps track of the ota apps you download. Just see if there is a papper trail of app I download that are not from the bb app world.

They could, but they don't use it against you. Although there is a clause in the contract that says you will not use your device for anything illegal or anything which may harm the network, there is no trouble, unless you are harming the network or doing things like D/L child pornography.

And if you're into child porn, VZW is the least of your worries - there are probably many here who could use some 'live' target or batting practice.

They don't track it, but they can refuse service. By this I mean, if you D/L a 3rd party app, and it makes your phone crash, if they can recognize the issue, it can void warranty.

No not into anything like that sickkos like that should be hung and burned. Anyways I just see just in case I wanted to look to past bills to reference apps that I downloaded. That's all. So I guess they keep track but no on your bill.

There should be nothing to worry about, unless like others have said, you were using the data plan illegally. You might run into problems if you somehow manage to go over the 5gb cap downloading millions of OTA apps...
