Seeing as AT&T got the Torch and it looks like they will get the 9780, where does Verizon come into play as far as getting one of what may be one of the better Blackberry phones available. Are they moving more towards the Droid family and will just have some Blackberries just to satisfy some of the loyalists?

They tried out the Storm 2.5 and it failed to meet expectations, so now it is a waiting game.

Seeing as Verizon just got the 9650 not all that long ago and the storm 3 seems to have flopped I wouldn't bet on a new BB for verizon for a little while

ps- squire, where are you on the job?

the "storm 3" didn't flop. There was no S3. There was talk of a warmed over S2 (think 2.5) that got shelved. A successor to the S2 that's a definite bump up in hardware will surely be coming out. If not, well, for me, it'll be Android-time.
