I recently got a Sprint Blackberry Curve from my cousin. Apparently it came from a friend of a friend. It's a Sprint phone but I have service with Verizon. Also, it appears to have been activated already. Is there a way to disable the service with Sprint and somehow unlock it for use on the Verizon network?

Ok you got this phone from your cousin who got it from a friend of a friend. Why would they give away a phone that is activated? Need more details.

You can do it how I don't know but people have sprint phones already on verizon networks call they have to fix and test your phone to make it work on there network, the president of verizon said this when they were talking about the open access to their network.

Are you saying that Verizons policy is to willingly connect Sprint phones?

No. That information is far from true.

Verizon will not activate Sprint devices, the IMEI numbers are not in their database, they will not connect to their network.

The information above is nearly 2 years old at this point.
