I have been a verizon customer since may of 2008 and on top of that I am a blackberry user. I'm interested in getting the tour when it comes out but am wondering what the cost might be. And if I could do it at a reasonable price without extending to a new 2 year contract. I am on my parents plan and don't want to mess with anything they have set up.

    So tl:dr version.
Blackberry Tour $199 with 2 year contract? Yes?
Can I get at that price as an existing customer without renewing contract?
Will I receive an upgrade allowance?
Ultimately how much would it cost me with allowances etc?

Thanks in advance to any and all who reply.

You don't get any discounts without renewing your contract.

No discount then. Secondary lines are only eligible to upgrade every 20 months.

The primary line is VIP, their price plan qualfies. Secondary lines pay 9.99 and even with a $30 data plan you'd only be at $39.99 which would not qualfiy for VIP.

Your voice plan has to be over 49.99 or whatever it is to qualify. Features like text plans, insurance, etc do not factor into that equation.

I think it might actually be 79.99 to get VIP and 49.99 is for annual upgrade.

Regardless I'm a secondary line so I'm at 9.99 and then 39.99 if my data plan factors in since its required on bb but regardless not enough either way
