I have a family plan with 5 lines and I am up for new every two in august. I am looking to get the blackberry 8330 and 3 more "free" phones.
Any help on how to configure the cheapest package would be helpful

I spoke with a rep and I found out that if i wait until NE2 then I can get the blackberry for the 2 year contract price (199 -50= 149) and get a buy one get 3 offer.
And that if i upgraded to the blackberry now I would have to pay full retail for the other 3 phones

FYI: To qualify for the three free phone the other lines also have to be eligible for upgrades (at least three of them).

Naw, if all 5 lines are eligible in August, try this, wait till July, call a csr, they should give you the berry. With $100 advance device discount, $100 NE2, $50 mail in and then the 3 free for the other lines, usually it's a no brainer for them to drop a NE2 a month early especially if your renewing 4 lines of your plan, just be polite. If you find a good csr, they could do it now, but you'd be getting pretty lucky 2 months early. One thing to consider, if you get a new curve and drop freebie POS phones on your family after they've had the same phone for almost 2 years, you might have a mutiny start.

The $100 advance device discount, $100 NE2, $50 mail in, would I have seen a bunch of prices, would that come off the retail price of $419 or the price of $299, also I was told the NE2 was only a $50 credit. And is the ADD still $100 if I get the $30 data plan? What price should I be expecting for the berry?

The $299 price minus the discounts.

They tier the ne2. If you're primary line is over $69 per, then the ne2 is $100, if it's under, then it's $50.
Like SK1 said, it's off the $299. So technically after rebates you would be at either $49 or $99.
If you wait till August and do it online, it will be free, since online orders get an additional $100 off.
If you are very nice and get a good csr, they can and will through in the online discount, but there's no guarantees on that one.
