I'm assuming you meant to say 500 texts. We pay $10 each line to share the 500 texts and pay $5 for 250 for my son's phone. I would like to find out if there is an unlimited text plan also.

One thing I found out, was that texts count both ways, which racks up the count pretty darn fast. Basically we get 250 if you count it the way they do.

Anyone else with a text plan like this?

Yes there is unlimited texts but not sure of the costs. But I think you can chose a smaller plan that gives you "in" texts free.

Your current plan is actually some type of "unlimited messaging" plan. The 5000 messages apply to sending to and receiving from any none Verizon customers. So, as long as you are texting to someone who has Verizon Wireless it will not count toward to the 5000 limit. You need to call Verizon CS to get the real unlimited txt plan.

    2100 Mins - $139.99
    3000 Mins - $179.99
    4000 Mins - $229.99
    6000 Mins - $329.99

prices are for first 2 lines.. add $9.99 for each addition line

What would the difference between americas choice 2 and a nationwide plan be?

Nationwide Select plans bundle voice with unlimited message plan. There is no price change.

Unlimited Family Phone Plans - Verizon Wireless

If you want unlimited messeges, change to the Select plan.

I believe the biggest difference is data usage. They charge per megabyte of data use on Nationwide compared to just using your minutes on America's Choice. Of course, that change only applies to "dumb phones" not BlackBerrys. You'll notice the charges if you browse or download ringtones.

I'm pretty sure the $10 package allows "in" texting: all Verizon-to-Verizon texts are free, just like Verizon-to-Verizon calls.

Just to confirm; you can no longer change your plan to America's Choice, excepting those grandfathered in under a family share plan. There are no txt only phone plans, unless there's something hiding in the VZW onesource database I missed. Both Nationwide Family Share Select & Premium plan groups offer unlimited included text msgs though as a BB user you cannot use any premium plans due to Get It Now being incompatable. Data use is the main difference in Nation Wide compared to the older America's Choice plan. Megabyte charges are billed 1.99/MB rounded up at the end of the bill cycle.

    correct.

    $10 = Unlimited IN, 500 Additional
    $15 = Unlimited IN, 1500 Additional
    $20 = Unlimited IN, 5000 Additional

    $5 = 250 Messeges

What really sucks is that the VZW-VZW calls are free, but you have to pay extra to get the "in" texting feature!

$15 will give you unlimited vzw to vzw text and 1500 txt to other carriers per month. $20 will give you unlimited text period if you are on a single line plan. If your line is on a family share, $30 will give you unlimited txt period both in and out of network for all lines within the family share. You can not have unlimited text messaging for one line only on a 2 or more line family share. The maximum text bundle you can get for a single line within a family share is unlimited in network and 5000 out of network for $20\month.
