Is there a way to activate two phones at the same time or easily activate the other? I have Verizon and they took away the third option so you have to talk to a 'CS Rep to activate the other phone.

Dial *228, a recording will guide you through the activation in a few minutes. No need to speak to anyone.

I do not believe you can have 2 active phones with the same number on a CDMA carrier. I've heard of SIM cloning for cloned phone numbers.

If you're referring to activating a replacement phone without going through a rep, try logging into the My Verizon to get that activated.

Can't have to dvcs active on same number. ONLY can be ONE at a time. If you're being directed to CS, most likely esn could be on neg list or there is some type of error. Do the ESN change thru my vz.

Use Google Voice. A google voice number is free.....and you can have it forward to numerous numbers. Two phones will ring until one answers. Works great if you have multiple cells, a home phone, work phone, etc. And if you set up call forwarding correctly, you can have all of your voicemails in one mailbox (with email/sms) transcriptions. I use it and love it!

Why not just continue on to a CS rep and let them help you with the ESN change? That would make sense to me...

Its gotta be done online or from a phone other than the 2 you are swapping. I go threw this all the time when activating phones to test for resell. Would be nice if vzw would use sim cards.
