I just noticed an icon for trooper typing on my home screen. I didn't download it, and didn't go to any page that automatically downloaded it. nor did I fill out any form or sign up for anything. It just showed up. and it sounds like I'm not the only one who's had this happen. It freakin' sucks.

to try and get rid of it I finally downloaded the app, deleted it, then deleted the service book for it, and STILL it came back after a battery pull. this is ridiculous. I never thought that my Pearl would have spam (I think of unsolicited programs as spam).

is there any way to truly and finally delete it so it won't come back?

You could just hide the shortcut icon.

If you have pushed content enabled... it could be from the carrier. The 8130 is a "consumer phone", it's possible Verizon pushes out stuff like this to consumer products.

Same thing here. I guess its fine to send it as spam even though its absolutely annoying but to make it so difficult to get rid of us ridiculous. Why would the do that? Do they think we'd eventually dl it and find it the most entertaining game on our beloved pearl? Stupid. Wtf?

How about all of you 8130 users just call up Verizon and complain?

Delected Service Books, it was gone. Pulled Battery, it came back. Lame TT. Curious how much space that thing is taking up.

Call Verizon and tell them you don't want to be provisioned for it. Each and every service book that gets pushed to the phone, the carrier has control over the push. Call and request to have it removed.

Make sure you ask to speak with a Blackberry Support Specialist. The regular CSRs will be lost when it comes to this.
