Post your personal experiences with VZW reps, or CS......

The one that stick out in my mind is when a rep didn't know what the Tour was when i asked him about it. It was the first day they offered the Tour for sale in store.

This is the best you can think of? Lets see if someone else has something funny.

Was the rep able to look up the info and provide to you? Reps need to know a lot and cannot know everything.

Your right thats not that funny, it's actually kind of said that the rep wasn't aware of the new device that was launching that day.

I'm off to the Casino to win some more money and hit Amnesia club, so l will post many others tomorrow when i sober up! I bid a goodnight to all!!!!

A rep told me the storm has a gig of APPLICATION memory. I had to teach him the storm only has 128mb of app memory. I was then telling him how horribly slow my storm was and that the tour's 256mb of memory allowed it to run faster and install more applications. The rep then went on telling me "I GUESS it could be possible to install more apps on the tour", and that "more memory does not make the tour run any faster/less buggy than the storm" (HA what a joke)

See thats what you get for talking to CS... when asking about devices... better to talk to tech support... MOST of the time. I've heard some pretty dumb and outragous things from my fellow techs around me.
A couple were suprised and upset about a new device launching without their knowledge for instance.. LOL... I said.. "Dont you read crackberry???"
    duhhhhhhhh....

    LMAO
maybe not so funny... more sad.

This thread will get more interesting when the West Coast wakes up but right now the outlook is pretty bleak.

Edit: For referrence to see how this is done please go to the "Things customers say that make us laugh" thread.

Agreed keep it civil - I am sure the MODS will watch this area closely

I was thinking of starting a similar thread myself. Actually, I'm glad someone beat me to the punch. Now, I just have to decide which event to post first. Over the past 2 weeks there have been a lot. To quote Arnie, "I'll be back."

I am customer service and know a lot about BB's! It's not the position of the employee, just whether they care or not about the actual products we sell.

So is anyone going to post something "funny" or not?
I am waiting for the funny as well.

Not CS exactly (that's what I do) but I had a store agent tell me one time they don't inspect phones for exchanges.

    Uh, WTF?

    THAT was an interesting conversation.

When having a casual conversation with a rep in regards to strength of service vs. verizon getting blackberrys last, etc etc-

Him-" Well they give all the newer phones to the other providers because we have the best signal/service and they get the new phones to try to even the playing field and give them a chance to compete"

Me- " Interesting" then chuckle a little

    The convo then continued-
Him- " We just got the tour last week, nobody has that "

Me- " But ATT and Tmobile both have very similar versions of that phone for months, its nothing special"

Him- "Well we had the storm and still nobody has that"

Me- " I wouldnt be too proud of the storm, and that was just verizon kicking themselves for passing on the iphone. What about the fact you got the curve, the most popular blackberry ever, 1 1/2 yrs after everyone else?"

Convo ended shortly due to his lack of participation

I think the funniest thing that was said was by my uneducated coworker who after completing the sale of a new line of service said to the customer "Well i dont know much about blackberrys so if you have any questions you can come in and see ______ or ______" and points and me and another coworker.

I'm surprised theres a lot of CSR's that have BB's and know how to troubleshoot little stuff i.e. soft reset, ota, host routing table. Some of them are pretty smart others don't do sh*t they hear the work blackberry and are transferring before the customer can continue lol

Sorry for the set up, but I think it will add to the (hopefully) funny.

Was talking to a local tech about two months ago in store. She's cute and nice but unable to follow exactly what I'm after. She passes my phone around to other techs as we chit chat and they come up with a shoulder shrug and honestly that's about what I was expecting but I had time before a lunch meet up so I went in. They are mostly playing with my ridiculously customized 6800 which was starting to have hardware issue.

One last bit of set up, in this store tech support is off to one side and sales demos etc off to another. The Tech Support side exit to the parking lot remains locked for some reason (I'm sure there is a reason).

So after an hour of mostly chatting, I say I have to head out to a lunch and as she's walking me to the door (to let me out since it's locked) she says, "Sorry we couldn't help, I'll exchange it for you anytime you want. It was nice to play with your thing." Pause... and she starts to look a bit embarrassed and stammers, "uh... I mean, YOUR PHONE!" eyes wide. I kinda of smirk and say thanks for trying and stop as we get to the door. She grabs the door and takes one large stride straight into the locked glass, "SMACK". Full stride into the door. I grab her and look at her a second and she turns the color of a radish as she's unlocking the door while mumbling incoherently; pushes me out the door.

She was fine but it was tough to make it to the car without giggling.
