So,... I don't get it. If I have an unlimited data plan on my Storm through Verizon, why would they charge an additional $15 to tether? What does it matter whether I tether or I am just on my phone accessing the internet?

Tethering uses a different protocol for Internet access and is separate from the traffic going on in your BlackBerry data plan. If you wish to use the unlimited plan you already have, look into TetherBerry. It costs much, but is able to use tethering through your BlackBerry data plan, in other words you don't pay Verizon extra.

I pay for tethering and I think its worth it.

I have heard of TetherBerry and would like to point you into that direction. I have heard good things about it.

DO NOT use tetherberry.. there have been horror stories of people losing their service and/or getting GIANT overage charges out of it.... like $3000 overages
