    I saw the article last week on Verizon replacing Storm 2 due to a touchpad issue.

    My 9530 touchpad does not work in the corner above the "hang up" key.

    I have had it about 6 - 8 months.

    Is it worth asking for a replacement, if so, how?

    The article was referring to the 9550 not the 9530. You can still call but they won't replace it due to the article because that's a different phone

    Just call them, let them know the problems you have. There's not much to troubleshoot over the phone for a hardware problem but they will send you a replacement.

    if u still have a 1yr warranty they will still have to replace u with a new one
