What's up with the static and hissing on some calls? It often happens when you place a call or one is received. No, it's not just me. Others have told me they experience the same problem. The only work-around is to hang up and call the number again. Second time is usually the charm. I'm sure glad glad to have the "Network" watching my back.

Hey Verizon, get your act together. This has nothing to do with the comsumer's equipment or PRL.

Welcome to sub 1W two-way UHF radios. It will happen on any carrier - more so when traffic is high. You can thank the tethering bootleggers, solar activity & radio interference sources for that.

Does it happen when you call other CDMA customers? If its to GSM people (mostly AT&T) then you will hear the hiss. That is why I don't have AT&T- place a call, right before the second ring you will hear a *ssssss* and then its even worse if your calling another AT&T customer. But it does happen if you call an AT&T customer, you will hear it.
