You don't like the one that comes with your berry? (While in message-menu- check spelling). Or am I not understanding your question?

I do not think the one for the berry will spell check websites or SMS. At least it does not on mine. Works for email just fine. You can check the application center here.

Just a side note: Sometimes you need to pay to play. not everything in life is free.

The one for email is great, but I use my curve for posts as well and my spelling is embarrasing( see what I mean)

Yes I know the feeling all to well another option is if you docs to go and this can be a bit more time consuming, but an option none the less.

Write your post or sms in a word document, spell check it there and cut it into the post or sms and send it.

Other than that if you do find a third party app, then it sound liek the cost of the app would be well worth it for you.

I have nightmares with spell checkers - while awake!

    Is it judgement or judgement?

There, they're, their - usually wrong.

While not true homonyms, you're, your & yore get crossed up.

And when you misspell something, but the resulting misspelling is an actual word...

I prefer to know how to spell, instead of having to babysit a nanny spellchecker.

Spell checker doesn't work for you when typing in Browser? I used it today when posting something here. It worked just fine.

It isn't spell-check. BlackBerry has Auto Text, a simple text replacement script.

With the assumption this was directed to me, I'm well aware of the differences between Spell Checker and AutoText. In my case, I was talking about the built-in spell checker. It works just fine in Browser, just as AutoText does.

You can spell sheck SMS and when typing posts on mobile CrackBerry. It's just not auto. You have to hit menu-spell check.

The built in spell check works in any text field that you type in. Menu-Spell check.

    Works in BBM too!

Okay - now I feel sheepish. I never use it, so I never pay attention to "Check Spelling" in the menu.

40 lashes with a wet noodle for me.

Ack! I hate it when I misspell. I hate it even more when I misspell someone's name!

Spelling is a pet peeve of mine & I couldn't resist in a thread about spellchecks.

I didn't want to be the one to point it out, but seeing as we are anyway, you spelled judgement the same way twice. Sorry, I pride myself on proper spelling too. Its the geeky side of me.

Thanks - sometimes, I really dislike Auto Text.

    Judgement or judgment.

I forgot that was one I did a manual entry for.

Its is the possessive, while it's is a contraction. All explained in the following thread:
