Why don't people sign up for a contract to get a new phone, then just cancel it and sell the phone?

Or, since I have a new every two, pay 150 for the driod x, then just sell it on ebay?? I can still hook my bb back up without a fee right??

They are selling for almost 600 on ebay, so I would net a profit of 450 right?

Just seeing if verizon has anyway to stop that? Thanks

Yeah, but that what happens when your 4 year old phone stops working and there is no warranty and you arent eligible to upgrade anymore?

It sounds like a great idea until your phone is broke and then you are stuck paying the 300+ dollars because that is your only option.

I still have insurance on my phone, so I would just pay the 50 for a new one.

Not a new one, an old refurbished one.

And the insurance deductible is no longer just $50.

Sure, you can do it, but the little money made now could end up becoming a pain later. You lose freedom to chose a device of your liking at a later time.
