    My storm was defective so verizon was able to swap me out a "new" 9530. After the swap out the VZW tech could not get the email working and told me to "wait it out" (aka the store was closing). I've tried a few times now to enter the Email Settings and when I do it sits at the Connecting to email screen and finally pushes me to a "Your Device encountered a problem with eh applications server" page. Any idea if there is an issue with blackberry's servers right now?

    He checked my account to make sure everything was in order, and it is.

    any ideas? thanks!

    You should be able to do it from the phone, if not and you have a username and pasword you can log into the BIS and do a device change. If this is not option, then call VZW tech and they can make the change for you.
