Hi - I don't really understand this because I'm on tmobile. A friend at work is selling 2 blackberry's that were used on the Verizon network. I want to buy these phones for my niece. What does she have to do to get them working with her phone #. . It's not like tmo where you just swap out the SIM. Does she just bring it to the store. The lady selling is legit so I am not worried about being scammed, I just want to make sure my niece can really use these phones. I was thinking of giving her whchever one she wants and selling the other. Thanks

Does she currently have service with Verizon now?

If she is currently on VZW, she would need to do a simple ESN swap - assuming she currently also has a BlackBerry data plan. If she doesn't, one would have to be added prior to the ESN swap.

Thank you both. Yes, she is a Verizon Customer.

She will also probably need a BB data plan which is approx $30/month. (or can you use an old BB without a data plan???)
