So I have a family plan...two lines on our plan have insurance. Recently I swapped phones with another member of my family.(Whose line does not have insurance) ..does the insurance on my line cover this swapped phone?? Thanks!

Yes and no. You get ur warranty but only on phone not battery usually and it depends on the claim rep. But usually yes ur ok.

The insurance is per line, not per handset.

Mr. Obvious is wrong. Technically, insurance is suppose to be used on the device it was initially started on. Technically, VZW reps are suppose to remove the insurance when cust swaps devices but they don't.

this policy was changed on 12/17/2009.

My bad for posting the wrong information.

It does not drop off if it is already on there nor should it be removed. It is "permitted".

for those wanting to view it in InfoMgr search "ESN, MDN and Account Changes (TEC, WPP)"

It will cover whatever device is active on that line as it is a per line charge not specific to the phone in use
