I currently have 2 lines on my fs plan. My line is the primary and the contract end date is 10/28/11, the second line's contract expires 7/31/10.

What we want to do is leave the tel # of line # 2 on the account and port line 1 to at&t on 8/1/10.

Can this be done without haveing to pay an ETF?

Nope. You cannot switch contract end dates. You can port line two without an ETF but not line one. If you do, you will be charged an ETF on line one.

Just call and switch phone numbers between lines and then port the one that expires 7/31/10. Also, make sure to get off the family plan.

No. If line one is under contract until 10/11, how would it not get an ETF if you cancel it?
