    so i went to my local verizon store typed my name so i can be helped, so i wait like 30 min patiently and all of sudden my name disappears. so i see a rep walk by and tell someone took my name off and i was next so he ask what wrong with my phone. so i tell that everyone i talk to sounds muffled and when people talk to me i sound muffled so he takes my phone and he goes to another tech and ask them a question and then it happens he drops my phone about 4 feet i just stare at him and he acts like nothing happened so i say nothing and then it happens again he drops and it hits the counter first and then hits the floor and he still does not say anything so then he walks by and he is looking at the water indicators and ask me has it been wet before i just stare at him and then tell what do the indicators say so he walk away to his desk and starts helping the person that was after me so i go to the manager and tell him the situation and he like that is horrible and say he will send a replacement but i have to keep the battery and the back cover so then he hands me my phone back and all i see are scratches on the back cover and the top has a big dent i tell him that its not fair for me to have to stay with a scratched up back just because his tech was not paying attention so then he tell me that i could of caused the damaged and i tell him how do u figure when i keep my phone in a otter defender case and i show him it and that the rep is the one who took it out so he says he still cant do anything so i call verizon right there and tell them my situation and they tell me they are going to send a brand new in box storm for all problems that happened i mean in the end something good happened but none of that should of happened from the beginning

    I had 4 storms and if VZ's customer service hadnt been so good they would have gotten a phone thrown at them. Not often is VZW's CS bad so go get a lottery ticket. Remember....if you get a rep that is having a bad day call back and you'll get someone else that is willing to help you as much as possible. No...I dont work for Verizon....just a loyal customer.

    Isht....my bad. I misread and thought this was an over the phone thing. I refuse to wait in lines at VZ. Unless I need it right now, I'll be doing my dealings with CS over the phone.

    I've been in retail for almost 18 years now, never have I seen people get as upset as wireless customers do.

    I've seen people throw and/or smash their phones. I've also seen at least one of those people escorted out in handcuffs along with an escort by a K-9.

    yea, 611 people are generally great! I had 611 manager argue with a store manager to the point of threatening write ups just because of their non sense at the store. Nice to know 611 is trained and kind enough to look out for us...

    It seems that is the mistake you made. From my understanding (please feel free to correct me VZW employees) the people at the store are on commission, so if you are not buying a phone then I have found poor customer service inside the store.

    I do 100% of my phone buying on line. I do 99.9% of all my other business with VZW with 611. The only time I go into a store anymore for VZW is if 611 says I have to go their to fix my issue. That has happened once, but I can't remember why.

    Several reasons..my phone wouldnt take any calls..and if it did it would only ring for about 2 to 4 seconds and went straight to voicemail, they didnt know what to do. after that i was being charged for rhapsody. i never used it, i think its pointless i never look at my statement i just send the payment. and now my phone isnt letting me send or get videos or pictures. Im changing to at&t next month and im thinking about getting the blackberry bold or blackberry 8820

    its not spoiled..its the fact that people pay so much money for their service. and insurance.. i think companys need to understand that people come in already upset, and they dont make it any easier for their customers.

    That's not entirely true. Our customer service reps and tech support do not work on commision

    And actually buying a phone has nothing to do with it either. We don't make a penny on phones. We get paid on contracts and services and accessories.

    that may be true but the question is... why does a customer (you) seem to be always throwing it back on the customer verse the provider of the service?

    last I remember, we do pay for this service so... a lot of people here preech as if cell phone carriers are doing us some sort of favor and giving us a gift

    we are giving them our services just as much as we are getting theirs!
