Once you login into your "Email Setings", click on service books, and send service books....

Stop asking for links. And for that matter, just download the newest .97 version from BETA links posted on another site like everyone else. It's newer. What Verizon posted yesterday was a trash version that we've had for several weeks now.

Who cares If he is asking for someone to post the file let him. We are all verizon users so if someone is willing to share the 4.5 let them. Who caresif it is trash or not.

Because asking for links to an unreleased BETA (which this release still falls under) IS AGAINST FORUM RULES you noob!

Just talked to verizon customer service. Not sure if any of you recieved the letter, but i got a letter telling me to do the software upgrade (mentions html email & editing word docs in the letter). i asked them why 4.5 was pulled, but they didnt have an answer. I also asked when it would be available and again no clue. they say the letter was sent out prematurely and that we should receive some sort of notification when 4.5 is available again

lol, I love Verizon. They probably had to read these forums to realize there are bugs with version .77.

You know you have a good point, I to wonder if any developer in carriers or even RIM do read any online stuff, any forums, not just here. instead of just getting info from testers.....

I'm wondering about the GPS options with OS 4.5 I keep hearing about. What is it supposed to do? I know it's a stupid question, but what would it do for me on my phone, and how would I even know if it was set up on my phone?

Jane I would suggest you go over to the GPS section and search the threads there. Allot of info cover everything from Verizon locking down GPS to vzNav to BT pucks to use for GPS..

Also you will find allot of info on learning GPS on Blackberries.

    Hope this helps.

No problem at all, but try not to get to confused with all the tech talk on that side.

something is happening over on the smithmicro website. The version is still listed as 4.3.0.127 but the release date has changed to 10/31/2008. but the file itself is stil 4.3 not 4.5. Somethings getting ready to pop.

Yes this has been noted. When they pulled 4.5 someone did not update or roll back the date.

What version of 4.5 is on the smithmicro site this time? Is it .077 like on the 31st, or is it newer?

    It is .77

I was hoping VZW would release .89 but no such luck.

I'm getting it tethered, lol. It's going to take awhile. Where do I look to see what ver it is? I'm dl'ing 450_b016_multilanguage.exe. It's 276 MB. Is that just Desktop Manager or is the OS too?

EDIT: Nevermind...that's the DM. I am now downloading 8330AMEA_PBr4_1.5.0_rel101_PL3.2.0.51_A4.5.0.77.ex e . Same one I got friday night

That ver has a bug where you can't edit posts on wapforums.crackberry.com . Very frustrating. You can create posts, but can't edit them because you can't see the "save" button.

The 8130 OS filename is: 8130AMEA_PBr4_1.5.0_rel101_PL3.2.0.51_A4.5.0.77

    It is 72.9 MB

Just noticed you have the 8330 though... and I see you found it.

I doesn't matter, that ver of .77 is what they fully support now. They don't have or support .97...

But I agree. I have .97 as well. screw getting .77... Verizon is a ******.
