This is just something I've been wondering about...

Do carriers have access to what OS or build you are running without looking at your BlackBerry?

I currently have the OS 6 leaked installed. Does Verizon know that without looking at my Berry?

No reason I need to know, just wondering how that works.

The simple answer is NO. I returned a Bold to Verizon with OS 6 still on it. The rep didn't even care. If you have to return it, it's easily reverted back to the stock OS.

A lot of the reps aren't even sure what OS is what. They are pushing so many Droids through the doors with ATK on it (not needed)...

So it could be a theme for all they care.

I can look at my BES server and see what device model it is, the OS version, the carrier, etc. Not sure if BIS has similar functionality, but I wouldn't doubt it.
