    Was this released today?

Also to update a PRL, there is no need to do opt-1 you need to do opt 2.

Can someone pull it off their phone and stick it somewhere for download please. I'm still on Alltel but use verizon prls as I get better speeds with them. TIA

Sure it can, I've did it many times with QXDM and sent them to answerman for him to post on his website. The Answerman's License To Rant

    Here's the command :

connect via QXDM then run the command:

    pr_list_rd 0 "c:\name.prl"

As forkup notes above, yes, it can be done - there should be how-tos listed here.

Search truveo.com for videos and more on the process.

Hmm sorry for that - where I work we do not use this method. If we cannot update we manual program which, can also reprogram a device and it should work.

Guess one learns something new every day and I thank you for that

NO! - *22899 does both *228 opt one and two for AIRCARDS AND MODEMs, as you cannot dial on these devices.

*228 opt 1 does both opt 1and opt 2. Opt 2 updates the PRL only. *228 opt 1 is one digit less than *22899 DUH!

If you do work for VZW - read your resources where it states "DO NOT DO *22899 for advanced devices or dumb phones.

It is definitely not a reliable way to do it - you can end up with corrupted data which may cause you issues later. Those issues might not be correctable by the carrier - in other words, even though most who do it have success, do it at your own risk.

I know there was a away to do it. This is usually done if a PRL needs to be rolled back from what I can see. We do not do this a tech level though, and most definatly not done to add another carrier PRL on a VZW device.

    Thanks again for the update.
