It appears the 29.99 data plan does not include text messaging...does the more expensive plan include txt msging...or is the only difference BES access...

It only includes data. Text messaging with Verizon is, you guess it, another effin charge! I pay like $15 or $20 a month I think for unlimited.

To get unlimited texting/pix/video messaging it is $20 more for a single line. If you have a family share it is $30 more but that covers every line (up to five)in your family share plan.

Are you guys talking about the $79.99 and the $99.99 plans? I think the difference is more minutes and data instead of just email. I didnt see any plans for $29.99 on verizons site for blackberry stuff.

Here's the deal pgregory. When you go to verizon's site, dont go to Plans>Voice and Data Plans. When you do the plans start at $79.99. But if you go to Phone & Accessories>Blackberry Devices and then select your BB, you choose your voice plan by itself. When you click continue after you selected your voice plan, you can choose whether you want the $29.99 or the $44.99.

Ok, I'm really confused and after searching the forums I'm still confused.

I'm planning on getting the 8830 for Verizon. However, I want an all you can eat data plan.

It sounds like there are two approaches:

    1) Picking one of the blackberry plans via the "Voice and Data Plans" on the verizon homepage.

    2) Or picking either Email and Web for BlackBerry (29.99) or Blackberry Solution Unlimited Data Usage (44.99) when going through the shopping process for a blackberry.

After reading some of the comments on the forum, I'm not 100% sure which plan to get since it sounds like there is $29.99 all you can eat data plan. But from the way I'm reading this, it only looks like the $44.99 has all you can eat data.

So can someone please advise which plan should I pick if I want the cheapest all you can eat data plan?

How many minutes do you need? Do you need unlimited text?

If you do not need BES, then go with the $39.99 450 minutes unlimited nights, weekends, and mobile to mobile. Have them add the "EMAIL & WEB FOR BLACKBERRY $29.99 (feature code 73618)" Total of $69.98 a month. If you go with the bundled plan, that will run you $79.99 a month (BES).

OK, when I call customer service, they say that the only plan they have for 30 dollars is a 10 megabyte plan. How do i get the 30 unlimited data? I dont need messaging cuz I already am on a family plan that includes unlimited messaging. let me know if you have any ideas.

If they have no clue, escalate the call to a supervisor or manager. It's there. I have it, and I have added it to other customers myself. Let us know how it turns out.
