    Who is having signal issues lately? I have been for about 2 weeks on my 8330 and so is my wife and she has a razr. It bounces from 1x, to 1X, to 1XEV, to no signal, to one bar 1x again.. anyone else? I called vzw several times and they say 'we don't see any network problems' but I have read elsewhere that other addicts are seeing this as well.

    I have not had any issues with the network here where I am at. They might be doing cell tower repair in your area.

    Both and I just spoke with two other friends, one with a LG versa and the other an 8830 and they too are having issues. We are in Southern NJ. I just tried to call vzw csr and was on hold for 6 minutes without a person picking up the line. Maybe NJ is having major problems...

    You could try *228 option 2 sometimes that helps with reception.

    I'm in western new york (niagara falls 3ea) and I'm havein the same problem. Very rarely do I have 1XEV or even 1X for that matter. Usually 1x. Let's hope for a resolution (if not, well my contract is up soon anyway :-] )

    Hey guys, just called verizon tech support...it appears somehow my phone serial numbers didnt match betweent he verizon system and the RIM servers. That might be what some of your guys issues is!

    While it is nice you all post here about a simular problem you are all having, you all need to call VZW and state this. without doing that Network will not know about a potential outtage that much longer.

    While it is nice you all post here about a simular problem you are all having, you all need to call VZW and state this. without doing that Network will know about a potential outtage that much longer.
    I saw someone today who had no VZW service and probably no one could force him to call in a trouble ticket, either.

    I called. They tried everything under the sun to get it fixed, but couldn't. Tech support said when it jumps around, i.e. 1X, 1XEV, 1xev, etc. That it sounds like a software corruption. I could never get any data transmissions. They are sending a replacement Curve to me. For what it is worth, things seemed to get progressively worse, slow email, data issues, until I had nothing. All started after the outage, which I think was last week.

    Did they run a manual programming of your device? If not they maybe sending you another device for nothing. Lazy rep - I hate when that happens.

    I call Tech support probably 2 times week about this and I send them emails all the time. I am simply posting here to see if I am the only one, which clearly I am not.

    Mine has gone haywire today. I usually have 4-5 bars and 1XEV but now they are both jumping all over the place. I thought I would wait it out but after reading all these posts I guess I'll call tomorrow.
