So I want to upgrade my phone to a blackberry 8330. I am part of a family share plan paying $9.99 a month for the additional line and unlimited in texts. Is it now just the additional $30 a month for the BB service?

    Thanks for the response

Your plan will remain the same, plus the $29.99+tax/month for the data plan.

Yester meant that the phone upgrade would apply to the primary line, which may or may not be correct, depending on your specific circumstances.

I am in the same situation.

My mother is the primary phone, so im one of the $9.99 additional lines.

Is there a way to still operate under that heirarchy? Or would I have to become the primary phone?

Also i would like to add:

I would have to be the primary phone to get the discount on the new contract right?

I am not sure if any of those $9.99 lines get a $50 dollar off after 2 years, let alone the discount for a new contract.

I'm on a family share plan but I'm the primary line, and I have the only BB. From my understanding you can be part of a shareplan and just add a data/BB feature which for personal use is ~$30 and corporate ~$45. I don't think you have to be the primary to use this, but I'm not 100% so double check.

As for upgrade discounts those normally only apply to the primary line because the New Every 2 has price restrictions. It used to be if you had a plan $40+/mo then every 2yrs you could get $100 towards a new phone, but they've changed it. Now if your plan is (I think I have the numbers right) $40-79.99 you get $50, $80+ you get $100; this is why secondary lines don't qualify. Sadly its just your plan, they don't factor in addtl features.
