    I went to Verizon to switch to the 9650 from my 8900 but the voice quality was "muffled". I called a friend from the device store and called him back from my 8900, it was a big difference, my 8900 was loud and clear.

    Anyone experience the same thing?

    Try a OS update, even put a newer leak on.

    some people exerience this with bad OSs.

    I get it on my 9700 sometimes, I had it wil 862 REALLY BAD and now with .983 I have crystal clear quality.
