I am on my third storm and this one just rebooted while typing a text not even an hour after I activated it. It was a cool phone with neat features, but I'm fed up with it. I've thought about downgrading to a curve, but I don't want to lose the browser or html email capabilities of the Storm. What about the Bold or the Curve 8900? Could either of these be unlocked to use with Verizon? Does the phone work properly when it's unlocked or am I just asking for more problems?

All I want is a phone that just WORKS but I want the email and a full keyboard.

Bold and Curve 8900 are GSM phones, so even unlocked, they won't work on Verizon.

The Niagara is coming around the bend, with a May release date (don't hold your breath though).

I had the Storm for a few weeks. The Curve is the best device. I was happy with the 8830 WE, but truly MISSED having a camera.

Storms Browser is actualy REALLY nice compared to the curve 8330....I think that is mostly what he was talking about!

The 8830 is really good if you need to drop the Storm now but I would hold out for the Niagara

On that note, maybe a used Curve 8330? Sell the Storm to recoup some $$$ before the Niagara hits, or the resale price of the Storm will most likely drop. Storm owners will be selling their Storms to recoup having to shell out full retail on the Niagara.

Exactly ! I would buy a used 8330....I just found an awasome price on one...once it gets here in the mail and I play with it some....my storm is going up in the marketplace lol!

Well, are you working with the stock OS? Is that what you returned it for? If that's the case you WILL be better off with leaked OS's till the next official release. Unless you dropped it or accidently sat on it, the original OS is nothing to return the phone about with all these leaks to improve the phones experience.

I would immediately try a different OS on your storm. Then, after a few months the 9630 should be out - which is more "Curve-like". Based on the leaked specs of the 9630, it really does sound like its gonna be the new badboy on the CDMA block!
