I currently pay 99 per month for unlimited talk and text (was a special promotion 2 years ago) AND unlimited data.

Now, Verizon has all these new "money saving plans"

    My *** they're money saving.

I've been holding off on upgrading from my Treo 755 to a Tour 2 when it's released and almost had a heart attack this morning when I realized they changed their data plans.

I will get the 89 per month for unlimited talk and text but the data plans have been changed now. It's 29 a month for email and web, but if you want synchronization and support for corporate email, it's 45 per month.

Where exactly does this save me money? I have to pay more for something I'm already getting? I don't want to step down from full synchronization to just email and web.

    Stupid.

The iPhone is looking better and better.
It sure does, go get it!!!

If it only had physical keys.

Husband has an iPhone so I may just consider a move to AT&T for a family plan and get the Bold.

I'm quite upset with Verizon right now. Although, I did threaten to leave 2 years ago upon renewal when they wanted to jack up my rates then, so maybe the same will work now.

Depends how you get your corp email - If it is though a BES server yes you need need the other plan. If it is imap, pop, or outlook web access, then you only need the $30 plan. All carriers have pretty much gone to data plans for advanced phones

Welcome to the updated world and data use. Once you own a BB device, you will under stand why they need data. Also keep in mind that VZW now has the Palm PRE and PIXI if you like Palms. Yes data plans are the same for these devices.

Data plan requirements for advanced devices changes Nov 2008 and just recently for other devices.

I bet you can get a great tax writeoff for donating the palm 755 to the Smithsonian.

    Have a great day.

I don't like the new Palms at all. Keyboards are too small.

Why do people feel the need to rag on my Treo? I got it 2 years ago, and yes, it is lacking in technology. Which is why I'm going to upgrade soon. I'm not one of those people that needs to run out and drop hundreds of dollars the second a new technology comes out.

Not ragging on it do to technology, Just the problems that one has to deal with it. It is my opionion that if the new palm devices do not work out, Palm is going to be in deeper trouble than they are now. Pams reputation, in my opinion has been less than accetable of late.

I have my wirless internet which is 59.99 I have unlimited and am grandfathered in on that. I won't be upgrading it though because I will lose that if I do. I needed a new USB and got it at an out of warranty cost and that was only 50.00 bucks

    My BB plan is
450 anytime minutes at 39.99 I get 20% off corporate discount
data is 29.99 and I get 20% off that as well.
I have the 10.00 message package which is unlimited in network/500 outside
    VZ Navigator 9.99 a month
    insurance on the device.

I won't change to a new plan because this one is cheaper for me.

forgot I also get 25% discount on accessories.

I don't think Verizon has bad pricing. You get what you pay for. Best coverage and best service and that is very important to me. I don't use many minutes because everyone I know has Big Red

    1500 minutes
Unlimited Text/MMS ,Email, Web, Mobile to Mobile
    2 lines shared 129.99
    20% discount from work = 103.99
20 Dollar Credit each month for the length of my contract with Sprint = 83.99

After taxes, I have two smartphones with unlimited everything but minutes, for 100 bucks a month, and I happen to have outstanding service where I live, work, and play. It would be ludicrous to go back to VZW for me, or to switch to AT&T.

    Unlimited minutes - $69
    BES - $45
    Limited text - $5
    Insurance - $8

After a 20% discount I am at $120/mo for 1 Storm2. My old plan with 1350 minutes was $13/mo cheaper but I went to the unlimited minutes. I feel somewhat conned as my old plan had BES bundled in for $79. What is ridiculous is Vzw dings you for texts on top of a $45 data plan. Wtf?

Got my 1st bill from Verizon today $212.68, Including $45 in "usage charges" which they explained as calls over the 87 minutes they alloted me for the 5 days from activation until my plan began on the 8th ( I activated on the 2nd and wasn't told of these days until I called today) after much discussion the $45 was credited.
