Check it out - hot off the presses this morning.

Groundbreaking Agreement Between Verizon Wireless and Google

That LTE allure is just too much to pass up, not to mention Google getting no licenses.

Having VZW is like living in the USA.

Having other carriers is like living in Lower Elbonia.

Now I only with that village in Kenya would find its idiot & take him back before we're worse off than Lower Elbonia.

This is a huge positive for the mass of consumers but I don't see it being anything but negative for RIM. I know there are Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile BlackBerry's, but BlackBerry is (in my opinion) the best Verizon currently offers in the terms of a smart phone. This partnership with Google is going to move Verizon's focus to the phones they develop with Google and BlackBerry is going to be pushed down Verizon's ladder of importance.

It's nice to see Verizon following in Sprint's footsteps again, first the Pre and now an Android device.

Hopefully for you guys they live up to the promise to keep it open and not cripple the device.

The Storm2 will be nice no doubt. But it will be imo what comes after.
Maybe RIM needs to retool their os.
They already put some money into developing a better browser
by purchasing this company whos specialty is mobile web.
Also don't forget they hired the ex apple guy also.

It wont be the storm 2, as if you are reading some previews, that phone looks like rim said "here we fixed half the problems, but we took the things that were working right, and just made them worse"

This is huge, but only in the eyes of people who want quality smartphone.

Until we get the iphone, the mass public isnt going to care.

Its what the tv says is the best, fastest, and most fun, so that is what the consumer will think too.

That being said, Android may give my TP2 obsession a run for its money
