Is anyone aware of a program that will encode video for playback on the 8330 with OS I've tried several 3rd party apps that worked under OS 4.3 and so far I am unable to get any of them working with the newest official OS. From what I understand this is a Verizon specific issue. Media Manager still works but is, as you may know, dreadfully slow, even with my Core2Quad running at 3.4Ghz.

Also, with the old version of Media Manager that came with OS 4.3 I was able to right click on the file I wanted to convert and then click edit and I was able to convert the video that way. Now that option is grayed out and I have to connect my berry to my PC just to convert the video.

    WinFF-- freeware, google it.

I tried tons of programs and nothing seemed to work but WinFF. Just choose blackberry setting and either blackberry Curve FS or WS (depending on your preference). Works perfectly

** i should have read the last 2 post**
    disregard my words...

"you will not find one. I know what you mean. it is not the converting software thats the issue, its a codec programming issue in the media player under your best bet is to do what i do. convert the dvd to bb mp4 using any of those programs then reconvert it using Xilisoft 3gp converter from bbmp4 to bbmp4.. seemed to work for me but i recently upgraded OS to
and i think it fixed that issue."

I have the BB Curve 8330 (Verizon) and have had the media player crap out on me after converting with Xilisoft. Could you tell me exactly what settings you used? I am hoping to get 320x240 with stereo. The advantage of using the Xilisoft converter is that it uses all 4 cores on my PC to convert a movie. Great except for the error

    Thanks for your help.

BTW, I am using the OS as well.
