Same here (South Bay). I got one call out to Florida right after the quake (5.8 magnitude), and that was it.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A strong earthquake has shaken Southern California. The late Tuesday morning jolt was felt from Los Angeles to San Diego, and slightly in Las Vegas.
According to ABC, there have been 10-15 aftershocks, but I haven't felt anything.

Water mains have broken, items falling from shelves, but no major damage has been reported yet.

No worries. A large quake, but minimal damage and no reported injuries.

I felt it in Indio, nearly 100 miles away. No loss of any services here.

I couldn't use my phone for about 30 minutes after. They originally thought it was a 5.8 but just downgraded it to a 5.4 It was a pretty big one - seemed like it lasted forever!! What was really scary is that I couldn't get in touch with anyone right after to make sure they were okay.

Here is a website that lists all recent earthquakes, magnitudes, locations, depths. Those in red are 3.0 or larger.

Hope everyone is okay...I used to live in LA in 1994...the Northridge quake was bad, but that was a 6.7...5.4 isn't that much to worry about...

Yeah, no damage or anything, but scary nonetheless. This was a first earthquake for a lot of people in my office. It was my biggest so far.

Everyone is okay here. My building swayed so much that I got sick to my stomach. I am on the 7th floor of a building with 18 floors.

Haven't felt any of the after shocks.

Biggest I've been in was a 7.4 - but I had a friend that was in Alaska in 1964 for their monstrous 9+. I don't want to see one like that.

Born and raised in Cali and been through tons of earthquakes. I lived 20 miles away from Parkfield which is the earthquake capital of the world.

They all suck regardless of magnitude but at least nobody was hurt.

Its the apprehension and anxiety that sucks about smaller earthquakes. You always wonder about aftershocks or if that was only the foreshock.

Yes! The quake was so strong I just jumped up to the nearest doorway with my heart pounding. But it stopped in about a minute. I hope everyone is OK though!
