surprisingly got an early upgrade email from verizon today. 2yr contract isnt up until dec or jan of 2010. anyway, im thinking of getting the curve, the storm is too finicky from what i read and the bold...who knows when that will come.
anyway, i'm curious to know what the best email service is to use with a bberry?
i dont use outlook for work and primarily use aol (insert laughter) for personal emails.
    any suggestions?

Aol is fine. With your data plan you will use of BIS BLackberry Interent Service. This will push your AOL email to the Blackberry

If you can get your work email thru OWA, then you can push your work email to your blackberry as well without sending them to gmail or yahoo.

I would not recommend the Storm. It has had too many problems and can be too finicky when it comes to usability. If you are a newb you cannot go wrong with the Curve. It will do all of the things you want to do with a reliable OS and operation.

BIS stands for Blackberry Internet Service which is a consumer version of BES (Blackberry Enterprise Service). It is basically a way to get all of your personal emails pushed to your BB for you to see almost instantly. Really cool capabilities.

how is the web surfing on the curve, decent?

It's actually really good. If you have the mindset that it is a mobile device while you are browsing you will be more than excited at the capabilities. While you can't see EVERYTHING out there on the web...that majority is easily converted for use on a blackberry.
