I have the Tour 9630 right now & I hate it. It just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I like the Droid by Motorola a lot. Do you think Verizon will allow me to upgrade early to the Droid, the Incredible or the Droid Eris when my upgrade isn't till December/January (I think I got it on New Years)?

Nope. They'll only make an exception if you're about a week to 2 weeks away from your actual renewal date.

How weird. I'm reading all of these posts where Verizon allowed them to have an early upgrade to get the Incredible.

Hmmm... sometimes it depends on the circumstances. If your phone has issues, such as hardware/software issues, then they can make some exceptions. If you had insurance, then all they would do is replace the phone.

Best way to get around the system... complain! ^_^

I went from an S1 to an 8530 in November, then in April, I went into the Verizon store and got a Droid. I paid the two new year contract price, plus $20 Early Upgrade fee.

NOTE: My next upgrade was in 2011. I upgraded to my 8520 in '09.

They are pushing the "Droid" brand big time.
I got my phone in Nov. and got an email about upping to an Incredible at a discounted price.

Wasn't the 30 days enough to decide you didn't like the phone?

It doesn't hurt to try for another discounted phone only 5-6 months into a new contract? Doubtful.

    Hey,
    It doesn't hurt. I got my S1 and 11 months later got a S2.
6 Mos. into the S2 they ask me if I want an incredible?
I'll be waiting for a S3, whenever that comes around.
