Why would you get a phone wondering what the ETF fee is? Don't get it if you don't want it.

+1 on $350. It is classified as an "advanced device." But why get it if you are just going to cancel. Even unlocked, it will not fetch $350 on eBay NIB. A slightly used Storm2 unlocked will fetch $350-400.

The ETF is pro rated at $10 a month. It will start at 350 and decrease $10 every subsequent month. The ETF is never 0 until your contract is up.

What's funny @afallucoo, even when you're at 1 month of your contract, you still owe Verizon $160. Its zeroed when you hit 24 months, but still. If it's there to recover the price of subsidized equipment, shouldn't it be only $10 on month 23? How can you still owe Verizon $150 even when your contract is up...they just zero the balance.

    The ETF is called SEARCH.

Seriously, I am questioning it too Mark.

It's zeroed at 24 months because 24 months is when your contact is up you normally sign a two year agreement with verizon. Verizon lets you pay a subsidized price for an Annual (12 month upgrade), or equipment upgrade (20 months) if you resign for a new two year contract (the popular one is two). Otherwise your under contract until the 24th month.
