I did a quick search but did not find the answer. My guess is that VVM does not use minutes to check voice mail, as I suspect it copies the messages to your phone. But what about downloading them to begin with? Thanks.

No it doesn't use your mintues. It runs on the data network but only charges for the initial download. a great way of checking vm without using min. That was a great question!

Have it included in your plan and then download it through your My Verizon.

I have the service added to my plan but I can't get it from My Verizon (My company pays the bill and I don't have access to it via my verizon). Is there any other place that I can download it from?

I use YouMail. I have it set up to send me an e-mail with the voicemail as an mp3 to play back on my Berry. It's free.
