    NO! - *22899 does both *228 opt one and two for AIRCARDS AND MODEMs.... "DO NOT DO *22899 for advanced devices or dumb phones.
    But that doesn't address the FOUR possibilities for FIVE digit activation sequences

    *228 is for activating a truly VZW on Verizon, from my experience *22899 is for activating prepaid devices like a page plus device or as that thread said they were talking about AllTel (VZW probably treated as if prepaid for the time being) so it used the extra 99 I don't think it skips the prompts
