I have a user who bought their own Blackberry World phone from Verizon. Usually my company buys them from AT&T. Anyway when we try to activate the verizon Blackberry on the BES server but never activates. One time we did get a message on the PDA to contact your system administrator.

I dont even know what service plan is on this Verizon Blackberry. The browser does work. Could it be the user chose the "Cheap" internet plan which doesnt allow for the business world and connecting for a Blackberry Enterprise Server? In the past when activating AT&T it would either work right away or say the wrong password. The Verizon doesnt appear to be having much network activity during my attempts of activation.

    Thanks Ed

I found out the user had the cheap verizon internet plan $29.95

He needed the unlimited $49.95 plan to be able to use with a BES

If you have the Curve 8900, you need to post somewhere else.

This is the Verizon forum section and the 8900 is a GSM device which cannot be used on Verizon.

As an aside, you need to call O2 and add the BlackBerry Internet Service to your account.
