Just wondering if others are looking forward to the Bold Touch 9930 through Verizon as much as I am. Are you making the swtich? I sure hope that it is soon!

I cannot wait for it to come out, so that I can at least see it in person! I wonder at this point what the hold up is from coming out with a release date.

Carrier approval process is very slow and cumbersome...

If they get it soon and decide to enable the hotspot feature then they may well keep my business, otherwise I will probably switch to an HSPA+ carrier that enables hotspot!

Are there any BB's that can use Mobile Hotspot?

The 99XX will have trhe ability but it will be a carrier decision IF it's enabled or not. Or so we are hearing.

One concern I have is that as we all know, Verizon has been pushing everything but Blackberry's the past many months. I fear that they will not be any hurry to get the 9930's into the stores. I hope I am wrong!

Since its something Verizon can charge for, I'm sure it will have it.

I am not eligible for an upgrade for a few more months. I am hoping that the mobile hot spot will be a feature that Verizon will enable. I would be willing to pay for it.

PK....assuming Verizon will charge for the hotspot functionality, why not just buy a Verizon MyFi unit??? Cost would likely be about the same. Of course, if you are thinking about Voldemorting with your 9930, then that is a different equation altogether.....

It will almost definitely be a pay feature. iPhones have it, along with some droids, and you gotta pay to use it :/

I imagine att and vz will probably charge for the hotspot because they have tierd data. I'm guessing since sprint and tmo are some of the last us carriers to have unlimited data that they may get hotspot for free.

In the USA, maybe. Not here in Australia. As a default you can buy an unlocked SIM-free iPhone here and use the Personal Hotspot feature. It was enabled in a Apple update. If you have a carrier locked version here it still shows. The carriers don't have control of it.
